Day 1: Hanoi – Lang Son – Cao Bằng (Breakfast)

After breakfast at your hotel, at 8:00 AM, your guide and driver will pick you up for departure to Cao Bằng. En route, you will cross border regions between Lang Son and Cao Bằng, with a brief visit to the Dong Dang border market, where you can have lunch at your leisure. You will continue the day through stunning mountainous landscapes, with several stops for great photo opportunities and walks through ethnic villages.

You will arrive in Cao Bằng late in the afternoon, where you can check into your hotel and enjoy some rest or explore the border town of Cao Bằng. Dinner is at your leisure and overnight in a mini-hotel in Cao Bằng.
 

Day 2: Cao Bằng – Angel Eye mountain – Bản Giốc waterfalls (Breakfast, Dinner)

In the morning, the group will wake up to taste the local specialty Bánh Cuốn Nước in Cao Bằng. Then, you will begin your journey towards Bản Giốc waterfalls, one of the four most beautiful border waterfalls in the world, located in Trùng Khánh district. You will make a short detour to Angel Eye mountain, known as "Núi Thủng" or "Núi Phja Piot" in the Tày language. Enjoy a scenic walk to admire the incredible mountain landscapes before continuing to Bản Giốc Waterfalls.

It’s time for lunch in a restaurant before visiting the waterfalls, where you can take a bamboo raft ride to get closer to the cascade for breathtaking photos. Afterward, hike to visit Phật Tích pagoda for an amazing panoramic view of the waterfall. You will continue to explore the magnificent Ngườm Ngao cave, home to the largest stone lotus in Vietnam.

Take a pleasant walk in the stone village of Khuổi Mỹ, where you will meet and interact with the Tày ethnic group. Check into a guesthouse in Khuổi Mỹ, relax and enjoy a hot shower. Dinner and overnight in a comfortable guesthouse.
 

Day 3: Bản Giốc – Phong Nam – Ba Bể (Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, continue your journey to explore the stunning Cao Bằng, visiting the villages of Phong Nam and Ngọc Côn. Enjoy the peaceful mountainous landscapes, with the possibility to swim in the Quây Sơn river and admire breathtaking views of the valley and the fantastic mountains, often called the "Halong Bay on land." Then, head towards Ba Bể lake. Along the way, you and your guide will learn about the cultural values of the ethnic minorities as well as local specialties and passes such as Gió Pass, Khau Khang pass, and Mã Phục pass.

Lunch is free in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, make several stops for beautiful photos and short walks in ethnic villages before arriving at Ba Bể Lake. Check into the guesthouse, with free time to relax. Dinner and overnight in a comfortable and friendly guesthouse managed by a Tày family.
 

Day 4: Ba Bể lake cruise, National Park hike, and Ethnic villages. Bus to Hải Phòng (Breakfast)

After breakfast, board a boat to visit Ba Bể lake. Enjoy the view of the lake, relax, and take photos at your own pace. Ba Bể lake is a freshwater lake located in Bắc Kạn, Vietnam. It is the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam and one of the top 100 largest freshwater lakes in the world. The lake is situated in Ba Bể National Park, surrounded by steep mountains ranging from 1,400 m to 1,600 m and alternating valleys. It was formed over 200 million years ago during the continental formation of Southeast Asia at the end of the Cambrian period.

We will have lunch at the village marina, then, in the afternoon, explore and stroll to discover the culture of the surrounding villages around Ba Bể Lake. In the evening, the group will dine with Tày locals (host family), then visit the surroundings before heading to Bắc Kạn city to catch the bus to Hanoi. Several stops for beautiful photos are planned and arrival in Hanoi in the late afternoon. Free time for rest or personal exploration of Hanoi's old quarters.
