Day 1: Siem Reap (Breakfast.)
Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for a flight to Siem Reap (VN 837) at 15:30, arriving at 17:10.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, our guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.
Check-in and overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Siem Reap - Angkor Thom - Ta Prohm - Angkor Wat (Breakfast and Lunch.)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our first visit to the Angkor Complex:
Angkor Thom, the fortified city of Angkor Thom, covers an area of 10 km². Enter through the monumental South Gate, crossing a causeway lined with statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. We will stop at the famous Bayon temple, then continue to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper Kings, before heading to Ta Prohm – This temple has been left in its current state by French archaeologists to demonstrate the destructive power of the jungle.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will continue to Angkor Wat – the largest and most impressive of all the temples, also the 7th wonder of the world. Then, we will enjoy the sunset from Phnom Bakheng.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei - Banteay Samre - 3 Temples (Breakfast.)
After breakfast, depart for Banteay Srei, considered the jewel of classical Khmer art. This temple is often a favorite among visitors.
In the afternoon, we will visit Banteay Samre, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, and Preah Khan. Pre Rup is a temple-mountain symbolizing Mount Meru, close in style to East Mebon, but higher and artistically superior to its predecessor.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 4: Siem Reap – Phnom Kulen Waterfall – Kampong Pluk Village (Breakfast.)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Phnom Kulen Waterfall, then head north for approximately 2 hours by air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy the scenic drive through local villages and lush tropical forests. You will visit Cambodia’s largest reclining Buddha, carved from sandstone. The temple is located at the top of the hill and can be reached via a flight of stairs.
Next, visit the sacred river of 1000 Lingas. The riverbed is fascinating with numerous Lingas, phallic symbols of the Hindu god Shiva. You will also see rock carvings depicting Hindu deities. Continue to another sacred site, the Phnom Kulen Waterfalls. Relax your senses as you watch the waterfall tumble down the rocks. You will have time to wade in its basin and refresh yourself in the cool waters.
Then, visit Tonle Sap Lake and Kampong Pluk Village. Enjoy a boat tour through the flooded forests of the Great Tonle Sap Lake, home to many species of birds. Upon arrival at Kampong Pluk, visit a pagoda, a school, and traditional stilt houses. Discover local life on the water.
Return to the hotel for relaxation and overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 5: Siem Reap – Departure (Breakfast.)
Free time for personal activities before transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
