Phong Nha the marvelous.

Tour Code: PN01
Duration: 03
Level: Easy

Day 1 :

Your guide and driver will pick you up at Dong Hoi Airport and drive you to Phong Nha, where you'll have the chance to enjoy the rural views before discovering some wonderful caves: Paradise Cave, Dark Cave (Hang Tối), Phong Nha Cave, and more.

Phong Nha Cave is not only a UNESCO World Heritage site but also a relic of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail, which during the American War served as a secret hideout for floating bridges that were only deployed at night to avoid targeted bombings. These bridges were crucial in the supply chain from north to south, allowing supply trucks to cross rivers. It also used to serve as a hospital, with weapons stationed at the entrance. Once its location was discovered, it was heavily bombarded, leaving the scars you see today. This area has now become the first section of the popular Ho Chi Minh Trail, known for its lush mountainous landscape.

Next, you'll take a 25-minute boat ride to Phong Nha Cave, enjoying a beautiful cruise on a traditional dragon boat. This cave is called the water cave because it is traversed by an underground river. After entering the cave by boat, you'll explore 300 meters on foot. The cave is famous for its spectacular rock formations, with names like "Lion," "Fairy Cave," "Royal Court," and "Buddha."

For lunch, you'll dine at a local restaurant in Phong Nha village, where you can enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese meal.

In the early afternoon, you'll take a short drive to Phong Nha Botanical Garden to discover the rich flora and fauna of Phong Nha National Park. Then, enjoy a pleasant walk to a beautiful waterfall before heading to the Lake House Resort.

In the late afternoon, you'll check into the hotel and have free time to relax and enjoy the lovely view of the tranquil lake and picturesque mountain landscapes. Dinner is on your own, and you'll spend the night at the resort.

Day 2 :

After breakfast, you'll head to Paradise Cave – the longest dry cave in Asia (located in the central area of Ke Bang National Park). It is about 75 km from Dong Hoi and takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes to drive. You'll then be transported by golf cart (1.6 km) from the main gate through the jungle to the cave entrance, where you'll climb to reach the entrance of the cave. The ascent offers spectacular views of the mountainous region around the cave.

For lunch, you'll dine at Dark Cave Restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional dishes (vegetarian options available). Please contact us in advance if you have dietary restrictions, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

After lunch, you'll visit Dark Cave (located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park). Participate in various adventure activities such as mud bathing, zip-lining, swimming, kayaking, adventure courses, spelunking, and more.

Around 5:00 PM: Depart for Phong Nha village and then return to Dong Hoi. Check into the Melia Hotel (5-star); relax or take a stroll on the beach. Dinner is on your own, and you'll spend the night at Melia Hotel (Vinpearl.)
