Ha Long bay - Lan Ha bay

Day 1 Hanoi / Halong Bay
Halong Bay of the submerged dragon, which boasts 2000 craggy and towering islets, is amongst the most picturesque places in Vietnam. The fantastic beauty of the bays has given rise to many legends, some of them dating back to the ancient past. It is said that a dragon descended into the deep water spitting out gems as he did so. And thus the rocky islands were formed.

Departing from Hanoi we journey to Ha Long City, an afternoon's cruising follows - time to appreciate the beauty of Halong Bay's limestone peaks. Retiring to a particularly picturesque sport, situated on the northern part of Halong Bay and home to stunning rock formations. Here we spend the night on our traditional junk. (Lunch and dinner are included).

Day 2 Halong Bay / Lan Ha Bay / Halong Bay 
The day's cruising is follows - time to appreciate the beauty of Halong Bay's 3000 limestone peaks. We spend our second night on our junk. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).

Day 3 Halong Bay / Hanoi
In the morning we continue cruising to explore some of the bay’s truly awesome scenery – vertical and unusual rocks and islets emerge from the sea. Weather permitting, there will be an opportunity to swim in the clear waters.

Eventually, the boat arrives in Halong City. From here, we drive to Dong Trieu for lunch in one of the finest restaurants. Following that we drive to Hanoi, arriving there at about 5pm. (Breakfast and lunch are included).

The facts…

Physical activities: easy cycling and kayaking with: a 1-2 hour kayaking ride on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3.

Transport:  junk. kayak. car.

Tour Guides: all of our experienced and friendly Tour Guides speak excellent English or French. They are extremely knowledgeable about local cultures, history and the environment.

Meals: 2 breakfasts. 3 lunches. 2 dinners. we choose local ingredients, typical of the way people eat in the area, at local restaurants, markets or homes. we also cater for Vegetarians but please request this at time of booking.

Accommodation:
- traditional junks (2 nights).

What to take: pack essentials, including light comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor activities, comfortable walking shoes.
Take a small day pack for cycling. We also recommend packing: swimsuit, personal articles, insect repellent, sun cream, raincoat and sun hat...
